Common-Sense Natural Beekeeping
Kim Flottum's presentation to the Federation of Irish Beekeepers provides insight into natural honeybee stewardship that relies less on artificial means of keeping bees alive and more on helping colonies survive while doing what they do naturally. Flottum builds on Tom Seeley's research on survivor stocks of bees in the Arnot Forest near Cornell University.
Kim Flottum was the Editor of Bee Culture Magazine for 33+ years. He is a past President of The Connecticut State Beekeepers Association, The Ohio State Beekeepers Association, and has served as Director and Chairman of the Board of the Eastern Apiculture Society. After retiring at the end of 2019, Kim ramped up his Agricultural Podcast Production Company, called Growing Planet Media.
